About

We are a small club located in a small village in East Mayo, who compete in all competitions for under 8 to under 18 and at Minor and Senior grades.

In the early days of the club we were known as Shamrocks due to the amalgamation of the Aghamore and Kilmovee parishes. This team went on to win the Mayo Senior County football championship in 1977.

The clubs first committee was formed in 1970.

Facilities

Main Pitch

When you avail of our facilities, you have access to a full-size, fully floodlit main pitch complete with an electronic scoreboard. This high-quality playing surface is ideal for matches, training sessions, and club events throughout the year.

The Clubhouse

Our newly renovated clubhouse offers modern toilets, four spacious team dressing rooms, and a dedicated referee’s dressing room. On the upper level, you’ll also find versatile rooms that are used for team meetings and as a well-equipped gym.

The Gym

On the first floor of the clubhouse, you’ll find a newly renovated, state-of-the-art gym. This welcoming space is ideal for individual training, team strength and conditioning, and year-round fitness.

Multipurpose space

Also on the first floor, separate from the gym, you’ll find a dedicated multipurpose space on the right-hand side of the clubhouse. On match days this comfortable room becomes a gathering point for half-time refreshments and is regularly used for media, meetings, and other club activities.

Club Initiatives

The Healthy Club project aims to help GAA clubs explore how they support the holistic health of their members and the communities they serve. GAA clubs already contribute to the health and wellbeing of their members by providing opportunities to develop their physical, social, emotional, and psychological health.

The project aims to help GAA clubs identify what they are already doing well, identify areas where they can or would like to improve, and empower them to ensure that everyone who engages with their club benefits from the experience in a health-enhancing way, be they players, officers, coaches, parents, supporters, or members of their local community.

The healthy club model, which is based on best national and international practice, also aims to embed a healthy philosophy in a club while integrating health into the day-to-day club activities in a sustainable way. It also aims to place the local GAA club at the heart of the community, making it a beacon for health in the locale.

There is also a NO SMOKING policy around the club grounds
